Civic Welfare League (1998-2001)
The Civic Welfare League is one of the well established, most active and oldest clubs at AUB. In addition to be an active member, I was the coordinator of the Night School Program that teaches elementary English courses to AUB staff. This helps them apply for promotions as English literacy is a requirement for most supervisory occupations. Moreover, the school aims to reduce illiteracy, offering Arabic reading and writing courses. For this purpose, I have organized a training course in teaching Arabic for the club members with the Ministry of Social Affairs. Also, the club started an initiative to teach basic computer skills for the AUB staff to increase their employability and promotion opportunities.
I also coordinated an initiative to teach English and Mathematics summer classes for the children in the Palestinian Refugee camps in Lebanon. The club also worked on several projects such as promoting civil marriage in Lebanon, secularism, progressive electoral legislation and many others.

Student Representative Council (2000-2001)
I was elected as the student representative of the senior class at the AUB Business School. My main task was communicating student concerns and suggestions to the Business School administration and resolving conflicts at school and university levels. Also, the SRC was active in funding student activities, promoting community engagement and supporting change initiatives in favor of student interests.
Business School Society (2000-2001)
I was an active member of the Business School Society at he American University of Beirut. The Society was active in organizing business talks, seminars and events aiming to enrich and broaden the business knowledge of students. The society was also an active medium of communication between the student body and the business school administration and faculty members.
Lebanese Scout Association (1990-1999)
I have joined the Lebanese Scout Association in 1990 as part of the Beirut-Two/Salaheddine Al-Ayoubi Group. This experience had a fundamental effect on developing my leadership, coordination, multitasking, survival and interpersonal skills. Among other scouting activities, our group was highly involved in organizing community engagement events aiming to increase the inclusion of orphans, elderly people, refugees and people with disabilities. During my service, I had an official training on First Aid by the Lebanese Red Cross. Also, I had occupied many leadership positions including leading the Rovers Group. In addition, I was responsible of receiving, storing and distributing supplies at one of the refugee relief centers during the conflicts of 1996.
